Terms of Service
What Plumbing Work
Last updated: October 2026
We Cover and What Needs a Separate Agreement
We provide residential and light commercial plumbing services in Dover, DE. Our work follows the Delaware State Plumbing Code (16 Del.
Admin. Code 4465) and the International Plumbing Code as adopted and amended in Delaware.
We hold a Delaware plumbing contractor license under 24 Del. C.
Chapter 18. For permitted work, we comply with City of Dover building permit requirements and the Delaware Uniform Construction Code.
When water systems fall under the EPA Lead and Copper Rule, we follow those requirements. We coordinate with the Delaware Division of Professional Regulation, Delaware Division of Public Health, Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, City of Dover Department of Planning and Inspections, and City of Dover Public Utilities Department as needed.
Standard services include repairs, replacements, and installations of pipes, fixtures, and drains. Work not covered includes major renovations, gas line installations, and commercial projects that require separate agreements. If your job needs a permit or specialty license, we will let you know before starting.
How We Schedule Visits and Handle Changes
We schedule plumbing appointments by phone at (555) 010-0000 or through our website. When you call, we ask about the issue and set a window that works for you.
For emergency work, we try to respond same day. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us at least 24 hours’ notice so we can offer the slot to someone else.
If you cancel with less notice, we may charge a trip fee. If we discover additional work needed after starting, we will explain the change and get your approval before doing it.
That approval can be verbal or written. We do not perform work outside the original scope without your okay.
If you request changes, we may adjust the schedule and price. For permits, we may need to coordinate with the City of Dover Department of Planning and Inspections, which can affect timing. We will keep you informed of any delays.
Quotes, Payment, and Change Orders
We provide written estimates for plumbing work before we start. The estimate covers labor, materials, and any permits we know are needed.
We base it on what we see at the time. If we find hidden problems, like corroded pipes behind a wall, we will stop and give you a revised quote.
You must approve any change order before we continue. Payment is due when we finish the job, unless we agree to a different schedule in writing.
We accept common payment methods. For larger jobs, we may ask for a deposit to cover materials.
We do not finance work ourselves. If you have questions about a charge, call us at (555) 010-0000.
We follow Delaware Uniform Construction Code requirements for permitted work, which can affect cost. We will not perform work without a signed estimate or written approval for changes.
Our Workmanship Warranty and What It Covers
We stand behind our plumbing workmanship. If a defect in our installation appears within the warranty period, we will fix it at no charge.
The warranty period is stated in your contract. It typically covers labor and may cover materials if they were supplied by us.
The warranty does not cover damage from misuse, neglect, or normal wear. It also does not cover work done by others or problems with pre-existing pipes.
If you hire another plumber to modify our work, the warranty is void. We follow the Delaware State Plumbing Code (16 Del.
Admin. Code 4465) and the International Plumbing Code as adopted and amended in Delaware.
For permitted work, we comply with City of Dover building permit requirements and the Delaware Uniform Construction Code. To make a warranty claim, call (555) 010-0000.
We may need to inspect the issue before deciding how to proceed. Keep your original invoice for reference.
Limits on Our Liability for Plumbing Services
Our liability for any plumbing work is limited to the amount you paid for that service. We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions, such as old pipes or fixtures that fail after we work on them.
We are also not liable for indirect or consequential damages, like water damage from a pipe that bursts later. We follow the Delaware State Plumbing Code (16 Del.
Admin. Code 4465) and the International Plumbing Code as adopted and amended in Delaware.
We hold a Delaware plumbing contractor license under 24 Del. C.
Chapter 18. For permitted work, we comply with City of Dover building permit requirements and the Delaware Uniform Construction Code.
When the EPA Lead and Copper Rule applies to covered water systems, we follow those requirements. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. If you have concerns, please discuss them with us before work begins.
